Come and join us in our singing course. Led by Conductor and Singer Crispin Lewis
All are welcome to The Choral Singer‘s Toolbox it is aimed at giving both complete beginners, and more experienced choral singers, the tools to enable them to enjoy their singing to its fullest.
Programme includes
- Advice on vocal techniques,
- Posture, breathing, vowel sounds,
- Rhythm, intonation and sight singing.
- Numerous opportunities to sing simply for the fun of it.
Tutor
Principally a conductor, Crispin Lewis also performs professionally as a solo and choral singer. He directs three choral societies, a professional baroque ensemble, as well as many other choirs and orchestras as a guest conductor. Crispin has directed orchestral, operatic and choral repertoire at London venues including Wigmore Hall; the Royal Opera House, Linbury Studio; Christ Church Spitalfields; the South Bank Centre, Purcell Room; St. John's Smith Square; St. James' Piccadilly; and St. Martin-in-the-fields; as well as live on BBC Radio 3.
Structure of the course: The course will take the form of four half-hour long evening sessions. Taking place on successive Monday evenings, each session will take place from 7:00 - 7:30 pm, before the choral society‘s main rehearsals (7:45 9:45). You are very welcome to stay and join in with the chorus rehearsal
Course fees: There is no course fee, but donations are welcome.
